Christmas Morning

We had a very nice Christmas with the day starting early to open presents from Santa. Soon after Santa's gifts came gifts galore from Maw and Papa Denny. We ate lunch at home and then played with our new stuff. In the evening we went to Ronnie's cousins house and parents house. Anthony's favorite gifts were nerf guns and anything with "Michigan" on it. Lindsey liked her make-up kits, styling studio, movies and clothes from Justice. We got lots of gift cards and a GPS system, now we have an excuse to go somewhere.

Christmas Eve 2008

We celebrated Christmas Eve with both sides of our family. We had lunch at my parents and spent the afternoon playing with my nieces, Hannah and Leah. In the evening, we went to church and then ate dinner at the Mancini's. We played with all our cousins and ended the day by opening up gifts.

We celebrated Lindsey's birthday at our house with family and friends. She will have a party with her friends sometime after the holdiay. Some of her gifts were webkins, minutes for her trac phone, clothes, a precious moment and gift cards.

We recently went to Cheeseman's Farms in Portersville for a fun filled day. We went on a hayride, picked pumpkins and played in the hay stacks. Both kids had a ball.

Disney Vacation

The day after school orientation we headed to Florida for a Disney World Vacation. We were there for 4 days and had so much fun. The kids loved riding all the rides and seeing all the characters. We gots lots of autographs and had a few dinners with the characters. The weather was hot, one day it was raining on and off but that didn't stop us from anything. We went with the Wetjen family and my mom tagged along too. Here are some of our favorite photos. I took about 200 photos and only posted 10. Enjoy. Back to School

Both Lindsey and Anthony had orientation this year since they both are in new schools. Anthony is now at JFK Elementary and his teacher is Mrs. DiGiammarino. He knows many kids in his class from kindergarten. So far, he loves school and his teacher. He isn't telling me much about first grade only that math isn't hard yet. Lindsey is now in 4th grade at George Washington. Her teacher is Mr. Lee and she also knows many of her classmates. She had adjusted wonderfully to a new and much bigger school. Every day she comes home and tells us funny stories about her teacher. We are all off to a great school year!!

Welcome Jack

On July 17th Ronnie's cousin Michelle and her husband Chris had their baby, Jack Christopher. We went to see him on Sunday and my kids loved holding him, esp. Lindsey, she is going to be a good babysitter one day. We're so excited Jack is here and look forward to many happy and fun times with him. Congratuations to Michelle and Chris!

On Saturday we went to Bear Run Campground and celebrated the 4th with Maw and Papa Denny. The kids enjoyed a day of swimming, going on walks in the woods, a hayride and a campfire complete with smores. Anthony ended up staying the night and loving it. Relaxing in the pool.

We spent the 4th of July shopping and picnicing. We first went to the outlets for their 4th of July sidewalk sale and then went to Chris and Lori's for their annual picnic. The kids had fun playing outside and we all enjoyed watching the fireworks and doing sparklers.

Kennywood

Last Wednesday the Litrenta family headed to Kennywood Park for the day. The kids were so excited, they had never been there. Shortly after we arrived, Anthony kept complaining he was tired. Turned out - he got the flu. After he threw up, we decided to head home. Lindsey stayed with the rest of the gang and had a ball. Anthony slept the whole way home and had a fever through Friday morning. He only got to go on 3 rides. We promised him we would take him back before the summer is over.

Lindsey just had her dance recital with Jennifer Leigh's Dance Gallery. This is her second year of hip-hop and we don't know where she gets her moves from. It was a long and hot week with lots of rehearsals but the show was fantastic - keep dancing Lindsey.

On May 31st, Ronnie's cousin Joelle married her high school sweetheart Andy. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful wedding. We all had a great time and as we celebrated their new beginning together. It seems as if Joelle and Andy have always been together, now it's just official.

Lindsey graduated from 3rd grade on May 29, 2008. All the 3rd grade graduates since next year they go to middle school at George Washinton. It was a hot afternoon in a small gymnasium but we wouldn't miss it for anything. The 3rd graders sang song and then received certificates from their teachers. Lindsey had a wonderful year, she loved her teacher and had many close friends in her class. Lindsey got all A' s and one B plus (math) on her report card. She is so ready for fourth grade, we are proud of her and all her accomplishments, yeah Linds!!

Anthony graduated from Kindergarten on May 29th, 2008. His class sang many songs on stage and then received their diplomas. Anthony received the kindness award for his class. He also got all S's on his report card, grew an inch and gained 2 pounds. We are so very proud of all he has learned this year, way to go Anthony!!!

Our little baby boy is now 6 years old. We don't know where the years went. Anthony had a bowling party with his friends from school and then we had a family birthday party at our house. The weather cooperated and we got to spend lots of time outside. Anthony got a new bike since he outgrew his old one. Another favorite gift was an MP3 player of his very own. He received lots of gift cards, he just made a build a bear monkey with one of them and he is looking forward to getting Mario Cart Wii with the other gift cards.

We finally went to the Children's Museum in Pittsburgh. The kids enjoyed all the hands on activities, Lindsey especially liked all the arts and crafts she did. Anthony liked climbing everywhere. We then spent the night at a hotel and the kids swam non-stop. We had a great weekend.

We all had a wonderful Christmas with our family and friends. The kids enjoyed all the gifts from Santa. Anthony's favorite was a guitar and Lindseys was a huge make-up kit. They both got webkins and have been playing with them on the computer. We all have enjoyed our long christmas break and we're ready for the new year!

Is that really rootbeer?

On Wednesday, December 19th, Lindsey's Birthday, we treated her to a night out on the town. She first got to pick a restaurant for dinner. Her choice was TGIFridays. Then we went to see the Princess on Ice Show. We all had a great evening. Dinner was good and the show was wonderful. Both kids were well behaved (believe it or not) and they never took their eyes off the ice show. Lindsey bought a princess wand with her birthday money and Anthony got a sword. We even had a surprise visitor sitting right across from us at dinner. The kids couldn't believe that Santa, yes Santa Claus was there. He answered all of their many questions and Lindsey even sat on his lap, first time in 9 years. Overall, we had a great evening enjoyed by all!

On Sunday, December 16th we celebrated Lindsey's 9th birthday. We had lots of snow but that didn't stop all the partying. Lindsey had a Hannah Montana cake. She received gifts of money, clothes, snow globes, gift cards, and tickets for the Disney Princess on Ice Show. We can't believe she is 9yrs old already, where did the time go?

Class of 1993

Today we went to the Autumn Leaf Festival in Clarion. I met up with two of my college roommates, Amie and Tammy - we missed you Holly. It was great to see them and see all of our kids play together. Lindsey didn't come with us, she wanted to stay in town for a birthday party. Anthony loved watching the parade and catching candy. The weather was perfect - sunny and warm, we even got a bit sunburnt. Here are some pictures of our fun filled day.

This past weekend we went to get pumpkins and mums at Countryside Farms in Ohio. The kids enjoyed the nice weather and being able to run around. We got three pumpkins and a painted Sponge Bob pumpkin. Then when we got home Anthony painted with watercolors all over the sponge bob pumpkin, he wanted it to look scary.

We had a surprise 60th anniversary party for Ronnie's grandparents this past Saturday. They were sure surprised!! Since we were all there we took some family photos. The kids had lots of fun swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. Congratulation again to Grandma and Grandpa Mancini on 60 years of marriage - you both are in inspiration to us, we love you.

Anthony's Kindergarten Orientation and 1st Day

Anthony has had a great start in Kindergarten. He loved orientation, the bus ride and his first day. No first day jitters or tears(only from mommy), he wouldn't even hug or kiss us goodbye. His wonderful teacher is Miss Bober and he knows some kids in his class from last year in Pre-K. I am so glad he is excited, not like his sister when she went to Kindergarten. One of the photos is of Anthony's friend Jeffrey and of course one is with Miss Bober.
